On Tuesday, June 18, FDA Commissioner Ned Sharpless will discuss the latest steps the federal government is taking to approve new, innovative and life-saving cancer drugs, therapies, and clinical trials.
Sharpless will join Sens. Shelley Moore Capito (R-WV) and Jack Reed (D-RI), and other cancer experts to discuss new targeted therapies for pediatric patients including precision medicine and innovative genetic immunotherapies, and examine the government’s newly focused efforts on combating pediatric cancer in the U.S.
In a TESARO sponsored segment, actor Scott Foley will discuss his mother’s experience with Ovarian cancer, and his work with TESARO to promote the Not on My Watch movement which highlights the care partner’s important role in the lives of women with recurrent ovarian cancer.
