Announcement from Director of Video Micah Gelman, Deputy Directory of Video Phoebe Connelly and Senior Video Producer Deirdra O’Regan:

We are thrilled to announce that Taylor Turner has moved into the role of video editor for By The Way, our new digital travel initiative.

Taylor began her career at The Post as the morning hub editor in April 2017, setting the tone for the video team’s daily meetings and identifying what stories were driving the day. She filmed and edited recipes for Voraciously, worked on graphic explainers about how DNA is used to solve cold cases, and explained the controversy surrounding the movie “Green Book.” She briefly worked as a video editor on the politics team and produced stories such as all the languages Democratic presidential candidate Pete Buttigieg speaks.

Before joining The Post, Taylor was a production associate at ABC News. Taylor is a 2015 graduate of the University of Texas at Austin and received her Master’s in Producing Film, Television and Video from American University this May.

Taylor is an avid traveler who has visited Argentina, Barbados, Canada, Cayman Islands, Italy, Jamaica, Mexico, Spain and Thailand. She has even taught in China and cleaned up schools and hospitals in Cuba. Taylor collects patches from every place she travels and sews them onto her favorite jean jacket. This year, she’s focusing on domestic travel, with plans to explore Portland, Seattle, West Virginia, North Carolina, Massachusetts, and of course, go home to the great state of Texas as often as possible.

When not traveling Taylor loves to cook, volunteer at Martha's Table and try to keep her plants alive.

Join us in congratulating Taylor as she embarks on this new role.
