Announcement from Graphics Director Chiqui Esteban and Senior Graphics Editor Tim Meko:

We are delighted to announce that Ashlyn Still will join the Graphics department as part of the elections team.

Ashlyn comes to us from the graphics team at Reuters in New York, where she has worked as a data visualization developer specializing in policy, politics and economics coverage. At Reuters, she spearheaded the graphics coverage leading up to the 2018 U.S. midterm elections, explaining how partisan gerrymandering works in North Carolina, visualizing the freshman class of the 116th Congress, and showing the long odds the Democrats faced to flip some statehouses. Before working at Reuters, she spent three years as a news applications developer at The Atlanta Journal-Constitution.

Ashlyn has a bachelor’s degree in Journalism and Mass Communication from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, adding to a long tradition of Tar Heels in the Graphics department. Her work has been honored by the Society of News Design, Webby Awards, Online News Association, Atlanta Press Club and the Georgia Associated Press Media Editors. In her free time, she enjoys live music, reading, going to the beach and spending time with her miniature schnauzer, Sophie.

Please join us in welcoming Ashlyn to The Post. Her first day will be Aug. 12.
