Announcement from Multiplatform Editing Chief Jesse Lewis, Deputy Multiplatform Editor Courtney Rukan and Senior Multiplatform Editor Bryan Cleveland:

We are excited to announce that Tanya Pai will join The Post as a multiplatform editor.

Tanya has been with since 2015, when she started as its first copy editor, and eventually became copy chief. In addition to writing and enforcing the style guides used for everything published under the Vox brand, she also wrote and brainstormed ideas for Vox’s culture and lifestyle sections, including pieces on why we keep playing the lottery when we know we won’t win; a history of Peeps; and the Thanksgiving thrills of the National Dog Show.

Before joining Vox, Tanya was the arts editor and deputy managing editor of Washingtonian Magazine, writing and editing arts, culture and health features. She also served as assistant managing editor at Boston magazine.

Tanya holds a master’s degree in writing, literature and publishing from Emerson College in Boston and a bachelor’s in public relations and creative writing from Florida State University in Tallahassee. Her first day at The Post will be Sept. 9.

Please join us in welcoming Tanya to the multiplatform editing desk.
