The Washington Post and Poynter today named the journalists selected to participate in the 2019 Leadership Academy for Diversity in Digital Media. Thirty journalists who have demonstrated an aptitude for leadership through current projects and references were selected from more than 120 applications.

With one of the nation’s most diverse newsrooms, The Post will help lead Poynter’s 2019 program and provide all-star journalists and fresh sessions.

“We are thrilled to provide some of the best journalists in the news industry as instructors,” said Carla Broyles, senior editor for recruiting and training at The Post. “We look forward to sharing not only our philosophies which center on quality journalism and storytelling innovation but also practical skills valuable in any newsroom across America.”
