As a reporter on the General Assignment team since 2017, Eli has distinguished himself by finding unique stories that have made him one of the most-read writers in the room.
Eli came to The Post after working as a reporter on the metro desk of The New York Times. Before that, he covered policing and the borough of Queens for the New York Daily News.
Eli has a bachelor’s degree in English and Latin American studies from UCLA. Raised in California, he started writing profiles of people at the age of 13 for school projects.
When he’s not reporting, you can find him running in Rock Creek Park, cooking or trying to blend the perfect hot sauce. Eli lives in the District with his wife, Kelsey. He will start his new role Sept. 16.
