Announcement from Design Director Greg Manifold and Deputy Design Director Brian Gross:

The Design Department is excited to announce that Brandon Ferrill will be joining us as a full-time designer.

Brandon came to The Post this summer as a contractor and distinguished himself working throughout the newsroom on digital and print presentations. He was the lead designer on Forced from Paradise, the examination of what happened to Michael Vick’s dogs, and the piece on art therapy for ISIS fighters. We’re excited to add Brandon’s creativity and thoughtfulness to our talented ranks of cross-platform designers.

Brandon came to us from the Star Tribune, where he designed for a range of sections, including Opinion, Science, Health and Business. He worked at newspapers in Indiana, South Carolina, Washington, D.C. (The Washington Times), Florida and Arizona before joining the Strib in 2015.

A graduate of Ball State University’s journalism program in Muncie, Indiana, Brandon enjoys traveling and exploring the city with his wife Christine Ashack, who is a designer in the newsroom for By the Way.

Please join us in congratulating Brandon.
