On Wednesday, November 6 The Washington Post Live will host Veterans in America, an event focused on the issues facing veterans - including obstacles to quality health care, a continued high rate of suicide and the challenges for service members transitioning out of the military.

Speakers, including Medal of Honor recipient David Bellavia, and members of the Senate Veterans Affairs Committee Sen. Jerry Moran (R-KS) and Sen. Jon Tester (D-MT), will offer a plan to provide better medical care for those who have left the battlefield, examine how veterans deal with PTSD, and look at creative ways veterans transition from the battlefield to the workforce.

Washington Post Reporter and Veteran Alex Horton will talk with two veterans about the biggest obstacles to reintegrating back into society and returning to civilian life.

This event will be live-streamed at wapo.st/veterans2019. Media who wish to cover must RSVP to nancy.murphy@washpost.com
