Announcement from Executive Features Editor Liz Seymour, Deputy Features Editors Mitch Rubin and David Malitz and Food and Dining Editor Joe Yonan:

We are happy to announce that Ann Maloney, the former food editor for the Times-Picayune in New Orleans, is joining The Post as recipes editor.

Ann is a creative food journalist who built a community of readers around the thriving New Orleans food culture. She wrote news, features and profiles about dining and recipes, and dramatically grew the food section’s audience on Facebook and Instagram.

At The Post, Ann will be charged with developing and editing innovative, accessible, foolproof and – above all – delicious recipes. She will collaborate with the other members of the Food team and with photo editors, art directors, food stylists and everyone else who works on Voraciously, The Post’s digital destination for food coverage.

Ann worked for the Times-Picayune, her hometown newspaper, for 15 years, including 11 years as an arts and entertainment editor.

Before working in New Orleans, Ann was an editor for The New York Times Regional Newspaper Group. She is a graduate of Loyola University in New Orleans and received a culinary arts diploma from the Institute of Culinary Education in New York.

She starts Dec. 16. Please join us in welcoming Ann to The Post.
