On Friday, November 15 Pulitzer Prize-winning Fashion Critic Robin Givhan will sit down with fashion designer Prabal Gurung for the next installment of The Washington Post Live’s A New Line series.

This fall marks the 10th Anniversary of Gurung’s award-winning womenswear line, and the publication of a self-titled book Prabal Gurung about his career. Gurung, whose designs have famously been worn by former First Lady Michelle Obama, Oprah and actresses Demi Moore and Kerry Washington, has become a preeminent player in the American fashion world.

Gurung and Givhan will discuss his design philosophy, activism and his most recent show at New York Fashion Week entitled “Who gets to be American?”
