Washington Post Live to host “America’s Health Future” presented by M&T Bank

On Tuesday, Oct. 13 Washington Post Live will host “America’s Health Future,” presented by M&T Bank to examine the candidates, timeline, guidelines and risks as we face a new and urgent era in medicine.

COVID-19 pandemic has upended the health-care system and traditional systems are changing and adapting. Post Live will convene experts to look specifically at the development and deployment of a vaccine—a process that used to take years but is now happening at warp speed.

Scripps Research executive vice president Eric Topol, MD and Pulitzer Prize-winning science journalist Laurie Garrett in conversation with The Washington Post’s Paige Winfield Cunningham for a discussion on what we have learned through this unprecedented time and how these new lessons will impact the overall future of health care in the United States.
