The Washington Post will launch “The Next Four Years,” a six-episode podcast miniseries that will examine the outcome of the 2020 presidential race and what it tells us about the country.

With contributions from The Post’s politics team, host Eugene Scott, political reporter for “The Fix” blog , will take listeners behind the scenes of events that paved the path for the presidential pick. New episodes will air exclusively on Amazon Music starting November 6.

“This project will harness the expertise of Washington Post reporters to take stock of the historic and turbulent 2020 campaign and give a clear-eyed look at what comes next as a new presidential term begins. Eugene will draw on his years of reporting on elections, including his focus on the intersection of politics and identity, to explore the social and political trends that defined the race and will shape the next chapter for the country,” said Peter Wallsten, senior politics editor.

“The Next Four Years” expands The Post’s news and politics podcast portfolio, which includes “Post Reports,” “The Daily 202’s Big Idea,” and “Can He Do That?”

“As we conclude a four-year period with no shortage of unprecedented moments, we’re proud to have created podcasts that have helped listeners make sense of these historic times,” said Jessica Stahl, director of audio at The Post. “We’re now excited to grow our offerings with the essential guide for understanding a new political season and its implications for different groups around the country.”
