Announcement from Graphics Director Chiqui Esteban and Senior Graphics Editor Tim Meko:

We are happy to announce that Reuben Fischer-Baum, graphics assignment editor focused on business and technology, will be a 2021-2022 Nieman Fellow.

Beginning in August, Reuben will spend nine months at Harvard studying how to make interactive projects more accessible to small newsrooms, with the goal of reproducing the successes that major news organizations have seen with this form of storytelling. He will return to The Post next summer.

Reuben came to The Post as a graphics reporter in 2017 from fivethirtyeight.com. He then became an assignment editor, editing visual stories about politics and coordinating election result graphics. He joins a select group of Post journalists who have been Nieman Fellows.

Please join us in wishing Reuben the best of luck during his fellowship.
