Daniel Wolfe joins Graphics team

Announcement from Graphics Director Chiqui Esteban and Deputy Graphics Editor Tim Meko:

We are happy to announce that Daniel Wolfe is joining The Washington Post’s Graphics team as a graphics reporter based on the West Coast.

Daniel comes to The Post from CNN, where he spent two years as a visual editor. He has held a variety of visual roles over the years, including as Things reporter at Quartz, data visualization engineer at Planet Labs, interaction designer at Tesla and graphic designer at the Urban Institute. In those roles, Daniel explained the inequality of abortion access in a post-Roe America, how gray whales are dying along the Pacific Coast and how the covid pandemic affected our emoji usage on Venmo.

A Baltimore native, Daniel has a bachelor’s degree in English and global studies from William & Mary. He lives in Oakland, Calif. with his wife, daughter and their Australian shepherd, Hadley; and their chickens, Frida and Sylvie. You can find him swimming in the chilly San Francisco Bay in any season.

Please join us in welcoming Daniel to The Post. His first day is Aug. 29.
