Announcement from Director of Video Micah Gelman, Executive Producer of Original Video David Bruns, Senior Enterprise Video Producers Angela M. Hill and Jessica Koscielniak:
Reshma has already proved herself to be essential in our coverage of the political and social upheaval in Florida, with reporting on Gov. Ron DeSantis’s takeover of New College and his fight with Disney. Reshma possesses a wonderful visual eye for capturing narrative storytelling, like in her mile-long line for food piece about pandemic-era benefits expiring for Kentuckians.
Reshma is a 14-time Emmy Award winner. Before joining The Post, she worked for three years on the national video team at McClatchy, where she collaborated with newsrooms across the country to produce a range of content, from deeply reported investigative stories to breaking news. Among her standout pieces was a five-part documentary that told the story of health care workers and their families at the height of the pandemic. The series won two Suncoast Emmy Awards and was screened at two film festivals.
Before McClatchy, Reshma worked for the Austin American-Statesman, where she won the paper’s first Lone Star Emmy Award for her portfolio of work as a photographer.
Reshma has a bachelor’s degree in communications from the University of Miami and a master’s degree in journalism from the University of Texas. She loves running and going to pop-up drawing events around Miami. Above all she loves spending time with her family, especially her niece Mila, age 4, and nephew Ishaan, age 2.
Please congratulate her on joining The Post full time.
