From Graphics Editor Kat Downs:
We are happy to announce that Christopher Ingraham is joining the Graphics Department. Chris will be a graphics editor focused on designing and developing graphics on business and politics, writing blog posts, and collaborating with bloggers across the room, especially with the Wonkblog and Jim Tankersley’s new venture.
Chris comes to us from the Brookings Institution, where he has been a senior interactive designer developing data visualizations that bring Brookings research to wider audiences. He also maintains a blog, wonkviz (http://wonkviz.tumblr.com/) , where he posts pieces with a fun, smart mix of politics, policy, data, and graphics.
Chris graduated from Cornell University with a degree in comparative religion. After graduation he worked as a technical writer and freelanced for several newspapers in Vermont. In 2007, he moved to D.C. and joined Pew Research Center’s Forum on Religion and Public life, where he managed the website, worked on the Religion & Politics ’08 and U.S. Religious Landscape Survey projects, and created web graphics to accompany survey reports.
Chris lives in Ellicott City with his wife, twin six-month-old boys, two cats, and a beagle-basset mix.
Please join us in welcoming Chris to The Post. His first day will be Monday, Feb. 3.
