Announcement from Fred Hiatt, Editorial Page Editor:
We’re delighted to announce that Jamie Riley Kolsky will become our letters and local opinions editor, replacing Michael Larabee, who is now oped editor. Jamie came to the Washington Post 15 months ago from St. Louis. In 16 years at the St. Louis Post-Dispatch, she was letters editor, reporter and page designer. She has worked at the Belleville (Ill.) News-Democrat and, while a student at Eastern Illinois University, the Charleston (Ill.) Times-Courier. Her daughter is a senior at Emory University in Atlanta. When she’s not in the Fishbowl, she is being dragged through Van Ness by her Jack Russell terrier.
Jamie will shift over as soon as we can find the right copy editor to take her place—stay tuned for that posting shortly.
