On CNN, Gene Weingarten shares the tragic stories of kids forgotten in cars

“This turns out to be a failure of memory, not of love, not of bad parenting. It’s something that happens under a certain set of circumstances, they tend to be the same,” Washington Post reporter Gene Weingarten said in an interview with CNN’s Anderson Cooper Thursday.

Weingarten wrote a Pulitzer-Prize winning Magazine story about the circumstances surrounding different instances when a child was forgotten in a car.
