The Washington Post’s Kevin Sieff recently joined This American Life to discuss the story of Hamida Gulestani who advocates for women’s rights in Afghanistan. When the U.S. presence in the country was at its greatest, she felt safer and saw some progress. But now with the U.S. pulling out, her situation has gotten more dangerous already. Sieff tells the story about this change that Hamida is facing.
