WUSA 9 and The Washington Post partner to expand local news coverage

WUSA 9 and The Washington Post today announced they have formed an editorial partnership and video sharing agreement effective immediately.

The agreement calls for WUSA 9 video, video reports, and some live video streaming coverage to appear on The Post’s website. Links to WUSA 9 content will also be available on The Post’s regional homepage. The partnership will also allow for Washington Post video and award-winning photography to appear on WUSA 9 newscasts and wusa9.com.

“We are extremely proud to partner with The Washington Post,” said Bill Lord, Station Manager and News Director of WUSA 9. “We believe this will extend our brand and improve the overall quality of our products on television and online.”

“This partnership with WUSA 9 gives us the opportunity to reinforce our outstanding regional coverage and make even more local video content available to our users,” said Emilio Garcia-Ruiz, Managing Editor at The Washington Post.
