The Washington Post recognizes the best places to work in the Washington D.C. area in its third annual Top Workplaces survey. The 150 organizations on the list were the highest ranked among surveyed employees. They include public and private companies, nonprofits, schools and even a federal agency.

Just over 3,000 companies were invited to participate. More than 52,000 employees responded to survey questionnaires. The Washington Post hosted an awards ceremony on Thursday, June 16 for the 150 recognized companies. A special edition magazine will be included in Sunday’s Washington Post, in addition to The Post’s Sunday magazine.

The following companies were ranked in the top three in the large, mid-size and small company categories:

Top Three Large Companies:

  1. Hitt Contracting
  2. WilmerHale
  3. Great American Restaurants

Mid-Size Companies:

  1. St. Stephen’s and St. Agnes School
  2. Applied Data Predictive Technologies
  3. Aronson

 Small Companies:

  1. Falken Industries
  2. Moss Building & Design
  3. Studio Bleu Dance Center
