Announcement from Director of Photography MaryAnne Golon, Photo Editor Robert Miller and Photographer Dudley M. Brooks:

The Photo team is delighted to announce that Bronwen Latimer is rejoining The Washington Post as a senior photo editor, managing the National and Financial photo report.

From 2013 to 2016, Bronwen was deputy director of photography here, distinguishing herself with work on the award-winning Syrian Refugee Project and the launch of a Year in Pictures section in Outlook.

She is most proud of the work she and photographer Tomas Munita undertook in Chilean Patagonia where Pew has sought to preserve vast tracts of land and coastline.

Bronwen previously edited and managed photography teams at, The National Geographic Society, U.S. News & World Report, National Geographic Adventure magazine and Time magazine before landing at The Post in 2012.

Bronwen will report to Deputy Director of Photography Robert Miller. Please join us in welcoming her back to the newsroom Sept. 24.
