HOME SALES: In the past 12 months, eight houses have sold in the neighborhood, at prices ranging from $45,000 to $190,000, according to David Maplesden of Long & Foster. Six of those homes were foreclosures, Maplesden said. There are currently six houses actively on the market, with asking prices from $80,000 to $169,900, and three houses under contract, with prices between $65,000 and $209,000.
TRANSIT: Cottage City is served by Metrobus lines along 38th Street and Bladensburg Road. The Rhode Island Avenue, West Hyattsville and Cheverly Metrorail stops are nearby. MARC rail has a stop in Riverdale Park.
