BOUNDARIES: Greenbelt Road on the north, Baltimore Avenue (Route 1) on the west, CSX/Metro tracks on the east, and as far south as Osage Street, Potomac Avenue and Mohegan Place.

SCHOOLS: Paint Branch Elementary, Greenbelt Middle and Parkdale High are the public schools that serve the neighborhood. Holy Redeemer School, a private school, is also in Berwyn.

HOME SALES: In the past 12 months, nine houses have sold in the neighborhood, at prices ranging from $125,000 to $295,000, said Sharon McCraney, a Long & Foster agent. There are six houses on the market, with asking prices from $165,000 to $330,000, and five houses under contract, with asking prices from $120,000 to $225,000.

TRANSIT:The College Park Metro station is within walking distance. Several Metrobus routes serve Route 1 and Greenbelt Road. The University of Maryland Shuttle and Prince George’s County Transit also serve the neighborhood.

WITHIN WALKING DISTANCE: Lake Artemesia Park, Berwyn Neighborhood Park, College Park Metro station. The University of Maryland’s Campus Drive entrance is about a half-mile south on Route 1 from Berwyn Road.

WITHIN 20 MINUTES BY CAR: Clarice Smith Performing Arts Center, Comcast Center, Beltway Plaza, Greenbelt Metro, Mall at Prince Georges, National Agricultural Research Center, NASA Goddard Space Flight Center, Food and Drug Administration (College Park and Silver Spring), Tennis Center at College Park, Ellen Linson Swimming Pool, and four hospitals.
