This is a little sweet, a little bitter and light enough to hold up to drinking on patios for as long as the afternoon endures.

Tested size: 1 servings

  • Ice
  • 1 1/2 ounces Campari
  • 1 1/2 ounces sweet vermouth, such as Cocchi vermouth di Torino (see headnote)
  • Club soda
  • Half orange wheel, for garnish


Fill a highball glass with ice. Add the Campari and vermouth; top with the soda. Stir gently to combine, then garnish with the half orange wheel.
