That was quite a final weekend to the baseball season, with games in New York, Washington, Toronto and Seattle all having an impact on who advanced to the Major League Baseball playoffs. Tuesday night, they begin!

Given that The Post’s national baseball writer, Chelsea Janes, will be all over the map during the postseason — and given that I’ll be joining her in the later stages — we thought it would be a perfect time to invite her on board and have the weekly sports chat focus on baseball: the season just completed, the upcoming playoffs, who should win the postseason awards, what the Nationals will do, any and all of it.

Remember how this works: Every week, I’ll be joined by a guest from The Post’s Sports staff to discuss the biggest story or the latest headlines from across the sports world. I’ve been with The Post since 2003 and been the beat writer on Maryland athletics, national college football and basketball, the Nationals, the Washington Football Team, golf, Major League Baseball and have been to every Olympics dating back to 2004.
