The Peach Bowl at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta and the Fiesta Bowl at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Ariz., will serve as the semifinals for the College Football Playoff. Both games are Dec. 31, with one kickoff at 4 p.m. and the other at 8 p.m.

The national championship game between the CFP semifinal winners will take place Jan. 9 at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, Calif.

The College Football Playoff is on track to grow to 12 schools by 2024-25 after the CFP Board of Managers approved expansion Thursday.

What are the New Year’s Six bowls?

The New Year’s Six bowl games comprise the Orange (Hard Rock Stadium, Miami Gardens, Fla., Dec. 30), Sugar (Caesars Superdome, New Orleans, Dec. 31), Cotton (AT&T Stadium, Arlington, Tex., Jan. 2), Rose (Rose Bowl, Pasadena, Calif., Jan. 2), Peach and Fiesta.

What about the other bowl games?

The rest of the bowl schedule begins Dec. 16 with the Bahamas Bowl matching Miami (Ohio) and Alabama Birmingham and the Cure Bowl in Orlando. The other game with teams already set is the Hawaii Bowl in Honolulu on Dec. 24 between Middle Tennessee State and San Diego State. The final two non-CFP/New Year’s Six bowls are the ReliaQuest Bowl in Tampa and the Citrus Bowl in Orlando, both Jan. 2.
