Outlook: United must win two of its final three matches to avoid setting or equaling the MLS record for fewest regular season victories (four). Aside from U.S. Open Cup victories in the semifinals and final, United has not won since Aug. 3. Captain Dwayne De Rosario (Canadian national team duty), D Dejan Jakovic (adductor injury) and MF John Thorrington (strained calf) are not available. Philadelphia Ds Fabinho and Sheanon Williams are serving red and yellow card suspensions, respectively. The Union won the two previous regular season meetings, 3-2 and 2-0, but lost at D.C. in the Open Cup’s round of 16, 3-1. Philadelphia is engaged in a tight playoff race in the Eastern Conference, two points ahead of Chicago and three in front of New England for the fifth and final slot, but with a victory, could rise as high as third place. Le Toux is tied with Portland’s Diego Valeri for the MLS assists lead (12).
