Despite the bad publicity, football is the most popular sport to watch with increasing interest among its fans. Still, wide majorities worry about the number of injuries on the field. Source: This Washington Post poll was conducted by telephone Aug. 22 to 26, 2012, among a random sample of 1,020 adults and 623 football fans nationally, including users of both conventional and cellular phones. The results have a margin of sampling error of plus or minus 3.5 percentage points for the full sample and 4.5 points for football fans.
