After 34 straight wins, Wise moves into the top spot in the rankings following DeMatha’s loss to Gonzaga . The Eagles climbed up to the second spot after their road win in Hyattsville. Once again, the Stone Bridge and Westfield Bulldogs look to be the top two local Virginia public school teams.

Good Counsel and Friendship Collegiate both dropped in the rankings after losing to other ranked teams over the weekend. Bullis swapped spots with Quince Orchard after an impressive win over previously unbeaten St. Mary’s Ryken.

Undefeated Woodbridge enters the bubble stays ahead of next week’s visit to Prince William County rival Freedom-Woodbridge. Undefeated Northern, National Collegiate, and Broadneck also debut on the bubble.

1. Wise (6-0) LR: 2

In the Pumas’ most dominant performance yet, they amassed 412 yards of total offense in a 75-0 romp of Bowie. Quarterback Quinton Williams went 9-for-12 for 216 yards and five touchdown passes.

Gonzaga led 26-0 after three quarters and held on for a 26-20 road win over DeMatha. Freshman quarterback Caleb Williams threw for 200 yards and two touchdowns.

Senior Gage Davis and junior TD Ayo-Durojaiye both scored two touchdowns in the first quarter of the Swarmin’ Hornets’ 42-0 win over Clarksburg. The Damascus defense has posted three straight shutouts.

In his first game as a Michigan commit, St. John’s senior Kevin Doyle completed 10 of 15 passes for 233 yards and three touchdowns of at least 60 yards.

The Stags dropped their WCAC opener at home to Gonzaga to fall from the top spot for the first time this season.

Junior Mason Tatum completed 10 passes for 193 yards and four touchdowns in a 47-7 win over Ashburn rival Briar Woods.

Junior Taylor Morin caught the game-winning touchdown and the game-sealing interception in Westfield’s tough 10-6 win over Madison on Friday night.

Junior Presley Egbers threw for two touchdowns and senior Daequan Williams ran for two more as the Wildcats came from behind to beat Oakton, 26-20.

Junior Jayden Umbarger ran for two touchdowns and completed all five of his passing attempts as the Cavaliers beat Friendship Collegiate, 24-20.
