South River has only lost two county games over the past two years, but the Seahawks will have to fill the void left by talented graduates Tiffany McKinney and Bre Bolden, who is now playing at the College of Charleston. Coach Mike Zivic will utilize his team’s speed and depth and look for junior point guard Niya Young to step up. . . . Old Mill has a young team with three freshmen and a number of sophomores all expected to log significant minutes. The Patriots have the potential to dominate the boards, with four players standing 6 feet or taller. . . . Severna Park will bring back eight seniors from a team that reached the region semifinals a year ago. Expect noticeable growth in Coach Lisa Magness’s second season. . . . Jordyn Brown averaged more than 20 points and eight rebounds as a junior and will look to lead the Bulldogs to the playoffs in her senior season. Basketball Preview
