Stonewall Jackson returns the nucleus from a squad that advanced to the state semifinals a season ago. Floyd, the Virginia AAA Northwest Region player of the year and a Wake Forest recruit, led the Raiders in scoring (18.9 points per game), rebounds (11) and blocks (2.2). . . . Jones averaged 13.2 ppg for the Bobcats and shot 76 percent from the free throw line. She’ll lead a back court that also includes 5-foot-7 guard Taylor Baltimore, who averaged 8.2 ppg as a freshman. Sophomore Nikki Dyson is the only returning player on Battlefield’s roster taller than six feet. . . . Despite winning 22 games a season ago, Potomac (Va.) will start almost from scratch with a sophomore-heavy lineup. Felder averaged 10.6 points per game as a freshman. . . . Forest Park junior G Mia Lloyd (9.6 points per game) looks to fill the void left by U-Va. freshman Breyana Mason, who averaged 26.9 points per game while garnering first-team All-Met and Gatorade Virginia player of the year honors last year.
