Centreville is loaded with senior point guard Jenna Green (16.4 points per game in 2012-13) and several experienced players returning for the defending district champions. Centreville isn’t very big inside, though, and will be looking for someone to fill the void left by team defensive player of the year Clara Logsdon. . . . Oakton will have just two seniors this year including Cheyanne Mittelholzer, a transfer from Florida. The 6-foot-2 post player is adjusting to a new system and will be a player to keep an eye on in the second half of the season. Juniors Karlie Cronin and Lindsey Abed were the Cougars’ leading scorers last season among returning players. . . . Westfield lost its three leading scorers to graduation and will be very young this year, but the Bulldogs will be a competitive team in the district.
