Skinny

Reservoir lost eight seniors from a team that reached the Maryland 3A semifinals last season, but the Gators boast a strong group of returners, led by Reilly and senior guard Aaron McDonald. They also added several transfers, some as recently as last week, giving Coach Mike Coughlan one of the county’s deepest squads. . . . After running the table in Howard County last season, Oakland Mills will look to fill the void left by All-Met fourth team selection Lavon Long, who is now starting and averaging nearly 10 points per game at Siena. Expect Ndiaye, an athletic transfer from Laurel, to emerge as a dominant force for the Scorpions. . . . River Hill has four returning starters and one of the county’s top talents in Thomas, who is drawing interest from several Division I schools. The versatile forward averaged 17 points per game as a sophomore last year.
