Top Players

F Lavon Long, Oakland Mills, 6-7, Sr.

F/C Charlie Thomas IV, River Hill, 6-6, Soph.

Centennial returns seven seniors from last year’s 3A East Region championship team. Rinngold is the top returning scorer for the Eagles, but he’ll get offensive help from fellow seniors Timi Tinuoye and Joe Eads. . . . Long transferred from Baltimore’s Mount St. Joseph’s to Oakland Mills for his senior season and is already committed to play at Loyola (Md.). He is expected to make an immediate impact in the front court for Oakland Mills after playing last year in the shadow of Kam Williams, now at Ohio State, and highly-recruited Phil Booth at Mount St. Joseph’s. . . . Thomas, River Hill’s 6-foot-6 big man, averaged almost 13 points per game last season for the Hawks as a freshman.
