The league has made great strides to improve and should be strong again this season. Coming off its first league title since 1998, Episcopal is the preseason favorite, led by Adala Moto (an All-Met who signed with Wake Forest) and Savage (George Washington). . . . Half of Landon’s losses last season were to Episcopal and the Bears will be in the hunt again this season, with the All-Met McDonald leading the way. . . .

Expect Bullis to also be in the hunt, with F Nigel Pruitt playing strong inside. . . . Georgetown Prep has a top inside-outside threat in G J.T. Strickland and Boland, who is likely to go to college on a football scholarship.. . . St. Stephen’s/St. Agnes has two seniors that have made college commitments: F Justin Goldsborough (Lehigh) and G Phil Guglielmo (Navy).. . . Alumnus O.J. Johnson takes over at St. Albans after a successful five-year run at Wise.
