In the new Potomac District, Potomac Falls will be the team to beat. The Panthers will feature two of the league’s top players in transfer guard A.J. Robinson (Tuscarora) and veteran forward Wanya Allen, who led the team in scoring with 16.5 points per game as a sophomore. Potomac Falls will also start guard Matt Tierney, a transfer from Gonzaga, as they look to get back to the state semifinals for the fourth time in five years. . . . Tuscarora is a senior-laden group led by Middleton, who averaged 10.4 points a year ago and will look to fill the void left by Robinson’s departure. Under new Coach Allen Smith, the Huskies will run an uptempo attack using the entire roster. . . . Briar Woods features the backcourt duo of Hatcher and Connor Gaines, who both averaged averaged 10.5 points per game last winter. . . . Freedom-South Riding has plenty of seniors with limited game experience. First-year Coach Justin Powers said the offense will start out running through Tracy and fellow post player Andrew Neilson. . . . Broad Run will look to junior Bryce Humphrey and senior Khiorie Stewart to lead the way. Stewart averaged 14.8 points per game last season.
