With multiple teams in last week’s Top 20 suffering losses, this edition of the rankings has some changes.
Georgetown Prep lost to Maret in the IAC/MAC Challenge on Saturday, so the Frogs enter the rankings and the Little Hoyas fall four spots. Bullis and St. Andrew’s also dropped after defeats in the showcase. And Rock Creek Christian beat Riverdale Baptist to move into the top 10, where the Crusaders had been.
This week offers more opportunities for movement. No. 2 Gonzaga plays at No. 3 Paul VI on Tuesday, and Gonzaga visits No. 1 DeMatha on Thursday. Bullis, Georgetown Prep, Episcopal and St. Vincent Pallotti also face tough competition, while public schools in Maryland and Virginia look to have a full week of county and district play.

1. DeMatha (11-1) Last week: 1
Its game against St. Mary’s Ryken on Thursday was canceled by inclement weather. The Stags will face No. 2 Gonzaga this Thursday.
2. Gonzaga (11-0) LW: 2
The Eagles beat Mater Dei (Calif.), 67-62, in the Cancer Research Classic in West Virginia on Saturday.
3. Paul VI (10-2) LW: 3
As part of the Penny Hardaway National Hoopfest in Tennessee, the Panthers earned a 63-50 win over Brentwood Academy (Tenn.) on Saturday.
4. Loudoun Valley (9-1) LW: 4
The Vikings won three games this week by an average of 30.7 points.
5. St. Vincent Pallotti (11-3) LW: 7
The Panthers picked up wins over Annapolis Area Christian (72-37) on Friday, Bladensburg (55-37) on Saturday and Florida’s Admiral Farragut (57-50) on Sunday.
6. Wise (8-1) LW: 6
The Pumas next host C.H. Flowers at 7:15 p.m. Thursday
7. St. John’s (9-4) LW: 9
After losing by five points to Paul VI on Tuesday, the Cadets on Sunday beat O’Connell, 73-62, behind 14 fourth-quarter points from guard Tre Wood.
8. Episcopal (10-1) LW: 10
The Maroon picked up wins over John Paul the Great, 70-64, and Georgetown Day, 77-59, this week.
9. Georgetown Prep (8-3) LW: 5
After beating Wilson on Wednesday, the Little Hoyas fell to Maret, 50-47, in the IAC/MAC Challenge on Saturday.
10. Rock Creek Christian (7-3) LW: 14
Forward Jermaine Harris and guard John Preston combined for 48 points to propel the Eagles past Riverdale Baptist, 90-77, on Saturday.
11. Riverdale Baptist (13-5) LW: 8
Despite 39 points from guard Donovann Toatley, the Crusaders fell to Rock Creek Christian, 90-77, on Saturday.
12. Eleanor Roosevelt (5-2) LW: 12
After the weather forced a cancellation against Bowie on Friday, the Raiders resume their schedule this Friday against Suitland.
13. Potomac (Md.) (7-0) LW: 15
The Wolverines’ postponed game against Largo from Friday will now be played Monday.
14. Bullis (10-4) LW: 11
With Vado Morse battling first-half foul trouble, the Bulldogs fell to Sidwell Friends, 71-53, in the IAC/MAC Challenge on Saturday.
15. Friendship Tech (7-2) LW: 20
The Titans beat Thurgood Marshall, 72-56, on Wednesday and Dunbar, 56-51, on Saturday.
16. Bishop O’Connell (9-4) LW: 16
The Knights downed St. Mary’s Ryken on Tuesday but fell short against St. John’s on Sunday.
17. Maret (10-3) LW: NR
Behind forward EJ Jarvis’s 15 points, 22 rebounds, three blocks and a steal, the Frogs upset Georgetown Prep in the IAC/MAC Challenge.
18. St. Andrew’s (11-2) LW: 13
The Lions lost, 83-64, to St. Stephen’s/St. Agnes in the IAC/MAC Challenge on Saturday.
19. Paint Branch (8-1) LW: NR
The Panthers used 21 points apiece from guard Richard Dudley and forward Xavier Reaves to knock off rival Springbrook, 83-71.
20. Battlefield (10-3) LW: NR
The Bobcats enter this week’s rankings after five straight wins.
