The Bulldogs, winners of 17 straight, swept through Va. Conference 5 play for the second straight year by beating Chantilly, Centreville and Oakton to close out the regular season.

6. Eleanor Roosevelt (17-2) LW: 8

The Raiders clinched a second straight appearance in the Prince George’s County championship game with a 65-48 win over Suitland on Thursday.

7. Gwynn Park (17-1) LW: 6

The Yellow Jackets rebounded from their first setback of the year – a 72-70 overtime loss to Largo at the buzzer– by beating Tall Oaks, 50-23, on Thursday.

8. Douglass (15-1) LW: 10

Five different players finished in double figures in scoring during the Eagles’ two wins over Central and Tall Oaks last week.

9. Gonzaga (21-6) LW: 7

Following a loss to Paul VI, their fourth in six games, the Eagles closed out the regular season with a win at O’Connell behind 38 points and six three-pointers from Chris Lykes.

10. Tuscarora (20-1) LW: 11

Behind 26 points from senior Kyle Copeland, the Huskies beat Potomac Falls 71-62 for their 19th straight victory.

11. Hylton (15-3) LW: 13

The Bulldogs cruised past defending state champion Colonial Forge, 70-42, last Monday, then notched their ninth straight win with a 53-34 victory over Gar-Field on Tuesday.

12. Loudoun Valley (21-0) LW: 14

Sophomore Jordan Miller poured in a season-high 21 points as the Vikings demolished Stone Bridge 85-60 to complete their first undefeated regular season.

13. Wakefield (18-1) LW: 15

Since dropping their first game of the season against Marshall, the Warriors have defeated their last two opponents by an average margin of 39.5 points.

14. Potomac (Va.) (19-2) LW: 17

The Panthers beat North Stafford and Mountain View last week to close out the regular season unbeaten against Conference 15 competition.

15. Episcopal (20-4) LW: 18

George Mawanda-Kalema scored 27 points and the Maroon held off Bullis, 66-64, Saturday, avenging a loss last week and wrapping up the IAC regular season title.

16. Wise (13-3) LW: 19

Junior Darron Barnes had 21 points and 19 rebounds when the Pumas beat Northwestern, 56-43, last Monday to up their win streak to 11 games.

17. Quince Orchard (17-2) LW: 20

The Cougars have six straight wins, all by double-digits, after beating Watkins Mill and Poolesville by a combined 58 points.

18. Theodore Roosevelt (24-3) LW: 16

The Rough Riders nearly upset then-No. 3 H.D. Woodson last Thursday as junior Donald Brewer and senior Brandon Howell hit four three-pointers apiece.

19. Hammond (15-2) LW: NR

Brandon Willis netted 25 points to lead the Golden Bears to a narrow 68-66 win against then-No. 12 Oakland Mills last week.

20. Oakland Mills (18-2) LW: 12

The Scorpions’ 13-game win streak was halted by Hammond in a 68-66 loss on Wednesday despite 23 points from Daniel Kiely.
