Weekend basketball tournaments feature area’s best teams

 Ten teams from The Post Top 20 boys’ basketball rankings will be in action this weekend across three high-profile tournaments.

 The seventh annual National Hoops Festival will take place on Saturday at DeMatha, featuring seven games that include some of the area’s top talent. Headlining the event are two evening games that pit No. 2 St. John’s against Maryland signee Dion Wiley and No. 3 Potomac (Md.) , followed by top-ranked Paul VI vs. No. 4 Montrose Christian , led by highly touted junior transfer Allonzo Trier .

 The Gonzaga D.C Classic and Bullis Holiday Basketball Classic began Friday and will continue through the weekend.
