Spalding came up short in its pursuit of its second straight MIAA tournament title on Saturday, finishing as runner up behind host McDonogh. Senior D.J. Smith (182) and junior Cole Graves (138) recorded individual second-place finishes. . . . Colonial Forge (AAA Northwest Region), Westfield (AAA Northern Region) and Fauquier (AA Region II) won the area’s major regional championships in Virginia this past weekend.
