The United States finished fifth in the final medal standings at the Beijing Olympics. Medals were awarded this year in 109 events across 15 disciplines. Team USA finished with 25total medals, including eight gold, 10 silver and seven bronze. That is more than the 23 medals won in PyeongChang in 2018.
The silver medal is the United States’ best result in the team event since it debuted in 2014, improving on third-place finishes in the two previous Games.
