Training camp details
Redskins training camp opens to the public on Thursday. Parking lots open at noon, gates open at 1, and practice begins at 2:55. Practices generally last 90 minutes to two hours, and fans must exit by 6 p.m., when gates close. Times are subject to change. Parking and admission are free. Here are a few tips for attending training camp:
Practices open to the public are scheduled for July 26-28, 30 and 31, and Aug. 1-4, 6, 11, 13 and 14. Aug. 4 is Fan Appreciation Day. Practice that day begins at noon and parking lots open at 8 a.m. No time has been chosen for the Aug. 11 practice. All others begin at 2:55 p.m. Fans should fill out a free “fan invitation” available at csnwashington.com, print it out and bring it to camp.
What to expect
No bleacher seating will be available. Fans are encouraged to bring chairs or sit on the grass. Concession and souvenir stands will be open. Concession stands will accept cash only. There are no ATMs at Redskins Park. Fans may bring coolers with food and non-alcoholic drinks. Still photography is allowed, but videocameras are prohibited. Players and coaches may sign autographs after practice.
Directions from Washington:
Take Interstate 66 west toward Virginia. Take I-495 north to Route 267 west (Dulles Toll Road extension). The entrance toll is $1.50. Follow 267 west for 15 miles through the Dulles Greenway toll entrance to Exit 7 (Loudoun County Parkway, Route 607). The exit toll is $4.75. Turn right, headed north, on Loudoun County Parkway. Proceed approximately two miles and cross Waxpool Road. Continue approximately 1.2 miles until the two lanes merge. Look for Redskins staff to direct you to parking lots.
From south of Washington:
Take I-95 north toward Washington. Take I-495 west to 267 west. Follow the same directions as specified above from the Dulles Toll Road.
Take I-95 south toward Washington. Take I-495 west to 267 west. Follow the same directions as specified above from the Dulles Toll Road.
