Canines taken from the streets of the Olympic host city in Russia are brought to the Washington Animal Rescue League.
March 26, 2014 Miles Gray, a worker with the Washington Animal Rescue League, carries one of 10 dogs rescued from the streets of Sochi, Russia, during the Winter Olympics after arriving at WARL offices in the District. WARL partnered with the Humane Society International/Humane Society of the United States to bring the dogs here. All the dogs are adults. Once acclimated, they will be ready for approved adoptions.
