Three QB battles to watch this season

Three games that will feature the best quarterbacks:

Georgia vs. Boise State, Sept. 3 (in Atlanta)

The opening-week matchup pits Georgia sophomore Aaron Murray, who threw for 3,049 yards and 24 touchdowns last season, against Boise State’s Kellen Moore, who threw for 3,845 yards and 35 touchdowns.

Oklahoma at Florida State, Sept. 17

The Seminoles were hardly competitive in last season’s 47-17 loss to the Sooners. If FSU QB E.J. Manuel and the ’Noles are national title material, they have to upend quarterback Landry Jones and a potent offense.

Oregon at Stanford, Nov. 12

This game is bound to have national title implications for both teams and perhaps Heisman Trophy implications for Stanford quarterback Andrew Luck. The Cardinal will look to avenge its only loss of last season, when the Ducks’ Darron Thomas threw three touchdown passes and rushed for 117 yards.
