Trains on MARC’s Camden Line were delayed in Maryland on Friday evening after a person was struck and killed by a train north of the Greenbelt station, officials said.

Cpl. Kyndle Johnson, a spokeswoman for Prince George’s County police, said a pedestrian was struck and killed. Bryan Tucker, a CSX spokesman, said the incident occurred about 5:10 p.m. near the intersection of Sunny Side Avenue and Tucker Street.

Maryland Department of Transportation officials said service on Camden Line was delayed and some trains were canceled. Passengers were being advised to take the Penn Line.
