Wedged between the Strip and downtown and centered on Main Street is Las Vegas’s Arts District. Formerly the city’s industrial center, this neighborhood is now the booming home to coffee shops, dispensaries, breweries and restaurants, filling the once-shuttered storefronts and sidewalks with renewed activity. The Arts District maintains a more low-key vibe than nearby Fremont East while offering treasures worth discovering day or night.

Meet Chris Bitonti

Chris has lived in Las Vegas since 2007. He’s a Detroit native who misses Michigan summers and bodies of water but loves the “anything is possible” spirit of this city.

Makers & Finders
Here you’ll find Latin-inspired tapas with casual indoor and outdoor seating. While the restaurant offers meat-filled empanadas and arepas, there’s also a vegan menu.
Makers & Finders, 1120 South Main St. No. 110. Las Vegas, Nev. 89101
Velveteen Rabbit
This bar was one of the first to kick-start Main Street’s revitalization. Velveteen Rabbit offers innovative seasonal cocktails with a rakish atmosphere — it’s the site of some wild events.
Velveteen Rabbit, 1218 S Main St. Las Vegas, Nev. 89104
ReBar
Everything you see is for sale at ReBar — including the decor, seating and even the racks of beer steins lining the wall. This Main Street spot is one part kitschy local dive bar, one part antique shop.
ReBar, 1225 S. Main St. Las Vegas, Nev. 89104
Vesta Coffee Roasters
One of Las Vegas’s top power meeting spots, donned in crisp white subway tiles and serving up specialty coffees — sustainably sourced and roasted in-house.
Vesta Coffee Roasters, 1114 S. Casino Center Blvd. No. 1, Las Vegas, Nev. 89104

Mikayla Whitmore
A contributing photographer and Las Vegas native, Mikayla has been an artist and photographer for 10 years. The Barrick Museum of Art, surrounding deserts, neon colors and the sunsets (real, not the ones painted over the casino roulette tables) are some of the reasons she holds the city dear.
