‘Everyone was trapped’: A candle factory survivor tells her story

Sharla Payne was working the night shift at the Mayfield Consumer Products candle factory in Mayfield, Ky., when a tornado hit on Dec. 10, flattening the building and trapping more than 100 people inside. Her son and a family friend, Timothy Townsend, rushed to the scene to assist with rescue efforts.
