Family spokesman: Muhammad Ali died of septic shock
At a news conference in the Phoenix area on June 4, Bob Gunnell, a family spokesperson of boxing legend Muhammad Ali said they expected him to "battle back" from his hospitalization. The spokesman said Ali died of septic shock “due to unspecified natural causes.”
