Rep. Kevin McCarthy: Biden not a threat; 2020 race will be about 'socialism vs. freedom'

When asked if Vice President Biden is the biggest threat to Republicans in 2020, McCarthy answered “No,” and added, “Joe Biden could be where Jeb Bush was in the last elections, the party had passed him by, he might have to apologize for a lot of things he’s done and I think the party is probably in a different place.” McCarthy also said he believes the 2020 race will come down to a “bigger debate” - “socialism vs. freedom."
